The roots of Tlusty, Kennedy & Glascock, S.C. go back to the Wausau law firm of William Krueger and Bert Fullmer, which opened in the 1920;s. Their office was located in the old Mayer-Lotz building in downtown Wausau. Attorney Raymond Thums, born in Rib Lake, Wisconsin, joined Attorney William Krueger in 1967. In 1971, Attorney Jerome P. Tlusty, then an Assistant District Attorney for Marathon County, formed a partnership with Attorney Peter F. Hittner, and opened an office in Schofield, Wisconsin. The Wausau law firm of Krueger & Thums merged with the Schofield law firm of Tlusty & Hittner in 1975, becoming Krueger, Thums, Tlusty & Hittner, S.C. Their 5000-square foot office building was constructed and completed in May of 1975, at its current address of 1155 Grand Avenue, Schofield, Wisconsin.
In 1978, Attorney Bradley A. Kennedy graduated from law school and joined the firm. In 1983, he became partner and the firm changed its name to Krueger, Thums, Tlusty, Hittner & Kennedy, S.C.
Attorney Raymond Thums was elected Circuit Court Judge for Marathon County, Wisconsin in 1988. In light of this event, the firm name changed to Krueger, Tlusty, Hittner & Kennedy, S.C. That same year, Attorney Philip J. Freeburg who was District Attorney for Langlade County, joined the firm. In 1992, the firm became known as Tlusty, Hittner, Kennedy & Freeburg, S.C.
In 1997, Attorney Jessica J. Tlusty graduated from law school and joined the firm. Attorney Michael K. Dirks joined the firm in 2008. Later that year, Attorney Philip Freeburg left the firm to pursue a career at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.
In 2009, Attorney Peter F. Hittner left the firm to pursue an “of counsel” opportunity with another local law firm. That same year, Attorney Jessica J. Tlusty purchased Attorney Jerome P. Tlusty’s shares of the business. The firm became known as Tlusty & Kennedy, S.C.
Attorney Michael K. Dirks became a shareholder in 2015, changing the name of the firm to Tlusty, Kennedy & Dirks, S.C. Upon his departure in 2020, the firm name was restored to Tlusty & Kennedy, S.C.
In spring 2021, attorney Zachary P. Glascock joined Tlusty & Kennedy, S.C. and became a shareholder. The firm was renamed Tlusty, Kennedy & Glascock, S.C.
